SurveyMonkey:

Visual Designer / Illustrator

SurveyMonkey acquired GetFeedback while I was working there. One of the projects that I worked on was creating a visual connection between GetFeedback, which would remain an offering there, and SurveyMonkey which needed a new visual system and language.

Marketing Illustrations

Creating the illustration system for SurveyMonkey was a unique challenge as they’ve never had one before but they had certain elements from a brand refresh that needed to be used (Patterns and Colors). My job was to audit the current visuals of both GetFeedback and SurveyMonkey and find common threads then weave them together to create a holistic experience. The first commonality was line. Line was used in Getfeedback to act as a metaphor for the customer journey, that also worked with SVMK’s visuals so that was the first building block. Instead of the main characters being built out of flat vector shapes, they would be partially constructed of that (harkening back to GF) and partially constructed of line creating a lively crossover of the two brands.

Icon Illustrations

Once the line/flat visual system was established it made creating the icon system a breeze. Soft corners were utilized to create a friendly/organic line that symbolized the customer base, while the flat shapes reflected the structure of our date based system.

Marketing Graphics

The GetFeedback marketing graphics used the same visual elements and patterns to create a cohesive brand. Visually heavier elements like texture were reserved for hero graphics.
